Real estate contractors in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore have been placed in A category, while property contractors working in places such as Hyderabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Sakkhar, Sahiwal, Peshawar, Abbotabad and Mardan are included in B category. Remaining regional estate builders are placed in category C.
According to an authentic source, property contractors working in group A will pay PKR 210 per sq. ft. on their professional qualities and PKR 20 per sq. ft. on personal components calculating up to 750 sq ft. The tax rate differs as per size of personal or commercial real estates. The taxable amount that is to be paid is different for constructors fall in B and C category. To keep believe that the implications of these taxation haven’t been thought properly or perhaps it doesn’t really matter how constructors may respond to this increase in tax, this is just an implement of tax to take extra funds from nation.
If someone considers that these taxation would get compensated completely from the income of constructor without being shown in the costs of their property development, that’s absolutely wrong.
